GethemGo Sports International (GSI) is a sports ministry initiated for lifetime voluntary service to build the kingdom of God in serving the communities of southern Asia and beyond. 

Our Mission is to engage the community in and through sports for gospel proclamation and making disciples for Christ.

​Our Vision is transforming the community with Sports to embrace life in abundance in Christ Jesus.

​Our Goals
GSI functions to serve the communities through four main goals:

1. Fellowship with sports people and leaders for bible study and prayer
2. Transforming leadership (train Church leaders & sports leaders to use sports)
3. Youth (Rural) engaged the youth for sports and coaching
4. ​Teenagers (Urban) focused on school students for biblical value teaching by using sport skills

2021

2020

May & June 2020

• Our family was compelled to go back to village and start cultivating due to lock down since there was almost no way to look for opportunities for ministry (physically) and funds. There was also poor connectivity which was also great challenge to hold ministry calls.
• I continue to praise God for He keeps paving a way to do His ministry despite the lock down. Locked down and yet we are not locked for His kingdom building. What an amazing God we serve. 
• I was bedridden for many days with my lower back slight fractured... It was such a terrible experience. At one point of time I was disappointed and felt so down, but that was the time God begin to motivate me with His words...as I read His words daily. That's where I said to God "I will do anything for your kingdom, despite the physical struggles. So I started making contacts and started engaging in phone calls, zoom calls encouraging leaders to keep preparing hard for God. Of all the experiences, the best part was had sports ministry vision casting with leaders from 8 states while lying on my bed. 
• Plans to restart the ministry since Covid-19:
  • Much motivated to begin training leaders to keep discipling with technology. 
  • Recently conducted Sports Virtual Quiz for people in Quarantine. Sports as connector and we had an amazing time sharing the Gospel from Matthew 6:33.
  • Vision casting program with 56 churches is scheduled June 16.
  • Whole life Coaching training to Father/son and father/daughter is scheduled first week of July. Father discipling son and daughter using sport skills. More will come in my next update.
• Had an opportunity to share gospel to about 50 people virtually​​

March & April 2020

• About 35 churches were reached
• The Gospel was shared with about 1500 kids and teens between trainings, camps and churches
• Have a church leadership training from Wednesday 18, 19 March. ..at a remote place. 70 leaders expected.
• Speaking at three different youth camps at three different states

January 2020

• We trained four churches with a total of about 250 youth leaders.
• Next month we are initiating a Christian Sports Fellowship for people in my city, Kohima.
• Level 2 ReadySetGo training will be initiated for a section of southern Asia.

2019

November/December 2019

• We have a Regional Sports Conference in the north east coming up mid December, whereby 100 leaders from southern Asia will gather for sports ministry envisioning.
• Here we will be doing some vision casting for leaders followed by 3 days leadership training locally. Then the passionate leaders are further empowered and sent for 1 month training on sports ministry. We share our resources to empower the leaders for continuity.

​​August/September 2019​

• We had a successful and fruitful leadership training. 47 leaders were trained on sports ministry. Secondly, we led one soccer team to play at the National Christian Football Championship, at Sikkim State...We got Runner Up!

​​Other Updates

• Since 2016, GSI has reached out to 49 districts in southern Asia with sports ministry by casting the Vision to church leaders.     
• Approximately 60 churches have started sports ministries with youth and kids departments.
• Close to 1,600 church leaders and sports leaders have been trained on sports ministry.
• On 5/25/19, 25 leaders were trained on how to use sports to disciple kids at the Children Leaders Training
• On 6/1/19, 35 leaders from six churches were trained on how to start sports ministries at the Youth Pastors Leadership Training.
