People have noticed that the home team has the crowd advantage. Obviously, most of the fans attending a game will be for the local team.

The physical presence of friendly fans, with their cheers and emotional support, has a tremendous positive effect on the team. Hearing the shouts of support from the stands is a great encouragement to the individual players and team

Other factors such as being familiar with the gym and the rims of the basket help to build confidence when playing at home, but knowing others are there to support you and stand with you probably is the biggest encouragement of all!

LOOK TO THE FINISH LINE!

The writer of Hebrews teaches that the Christian crowd is to band together and support each other in the game of life. He said, “Let us consider one another to provoke each other to love and good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together...but exhorting one another” (10:24,25).

The fellowship of Christian believers is vital. Being part of a group, the Church, helps keep us encouraged in the faith.

After spending the entire eleventh chapter of his letter on a roll call of the heroes of faith, the author of Hebrews assures us that these fellow team members are watching us from Heaven, cheering us on to victory.

HEBREWS 12:1

“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the peace mark out for us”.
