Hebrews 10:32

“Remember those earlier days after you had received the light, when you endured in a great conflict full of suffering”

athlesis: contest, combat, or a hard struggle and trial

athlesis: contest, combat, or a hard struggle and trial

Have you ever come to a point in your walk with Christ where you’ve struggled or suffered?

Hello, my name is Dr. Greg Linville and today we’re going to contemplate a spiritual lesson that is based on the New Testament Greek word athle’sis that is found in Hebrews 10.32 and is often translated into English with words such as struggle, fight or conflict. Athle’sis is in fact the word for athlete and the reason it is translated in the English as struggle or conflict suggests that whenever a follower of Jesus experiences a conflict or suffers, they should “fight” through the struggle or conflict like an athlete fights to overcome an obstacle or opponent

So, be encouraged today, to overcome the obstacle you’re facing with the heart of an athlete.
