The Association of Church Sports and Recreation
Ministers (CSRM) exists to:...
Vision: To equip local churches to
change lives through sport and recreation
Mission: Train, equip and resource local
church staff and
volunteers, mobilizing them to build bridges in their communities using
sport, recreation and leisure activities for the purpose of leading
people into a personal relationship with Christ
Guiding Principle: Evangelism through
the local church
Strategies: The Four "C" approach
1. Conference - Annual Sports Outreach Summit &
Regional/National Conferences
2. Consulting - Providing Coaching, Mentoring and overall advice for
members and others
3. Certification - Provide on-going equipping to Professional
Sports Ministers culminating in an official Sports Ministry
Certification & providing catalytic consultations and resources
for
Colleges, Universities and Seminaries to create and sustain Sports
Ministry Degrees
4. Connections - Mobilize local and regional Sports Outreach
Leadership Development (SOLD) groups for the purpose of equipping local
churches to change lives through sport

1. Commitment to World Evangelism by local churches through sport,
recreation and activity based ministry
2. Commitment to family integrity - family is the first ministry of all
staff, board and members
3. Commitment to person integrity - personal lifestyle compatible with
Biblical standards for all staff, board and members
4. Commitment to Prayer - we need not pray for the work as much as
realize that prayer is the work
5. Commitment to Personal Outreach - each staff, board and member
reaching out to their family, friends and associates
